Before photos that block a fake complete: forms and signatures in Sqyre Team

Sqyre Team can refuse to close a job until before photos and a signed work authorization exist. That is how callbacks stop eating the week.
The simple idea
A complete button without proof is how shops argue with homeowners for free. “It was already like that” is not a record. A before photo is a record. A signed work authorization is a record.
Sqyre Team can gate completion. Before photos. Forms. Signatures, including work authorization. The office decides which job types require which proof. The tech feels it as a blocked complete, not a lecture.
If you had to explain it to a helper, you would say this. You cannot tap done until the house as you found it is on the ticket, and the customer has signed the yes.
A normal weekday
A plumber arrives at a cabinet leak. Team will not let the visit close without before photos. He shoots the stain, the angle stop, the supply line. He shows the repair and the better repair. The customer signs the authorization on the phone.
Two weeks later the spouse says the cabinet was damaged by the plumber. The before photo is still on the job. The callback becomes a conversation with pictures, not a refund from guilt.
Forms are training that stays on the job
A checklist is how the second crew does the same job you sold. HVAC coils, drain, caps, thermostat, filter size. Cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, floors, extras. Safety on a roof.
Build the form once on the web. Attach it to the job type. Team is the clipboard. See forms that train the second crew.
Work authorization is not a handshake
Opening a wall on a handshake is how change orders become fights. The signed yes should name the work and the money. Team supports signed job forms, including work authorization.
If they will not sign, you do not open the wall. That sentence belongs in training. Hub can show the office the document. The customer can also see options on the client portal.
After photos win the next quote
The next house hires the shop that can show the last house. After photos belong on the ticket the same day, while the hose is still wet. Read job photos that win the next quote.
What people get wrong
They turn off the gates because techs complained. Then they pay for the callback the gate would have prevented. A slow complete is cheaper than a free redo.
They also shoot photos into the personal camera roll “to upload later.” Later never comes. Shoot in Team.
If you are training someone this week
Pick one job type. Turn the before photo gate on. Watch one tech hit the wall. Stand there while they take the photos and collect the signature.
The only sentence they are allowed to say is this one. I cannot close this stop until the photos and the signature are on the job. If that feels rude, the rude thing was doing unpaid work.
How gates should feel
A gate that lectures is ignored. A gate that blocks complete is obeyed. Put the block on the job type that bleeds money: water, paint, openings, anything a spouse can argue about later.
Before photos are cheap. Callbacks are not. Signatures are cheap. “I never said you could open that” is not.
Work authorization should name the work and the money. A scribble that says OK is not enough if the invoice later has three extras. The form is the list. The signature is the yes to the list.
A week of proof
Monday turn the gate on for one job type. Tuesday complete one job with photos and a signature. Wednesday show the office the ticket. Thursday refuse to close a stop that skipped the gate. Friday count callbacks on that job type against last month.
If techs say it is slow, time it. Two minutes of photos is slower than zero and faster than a Saturday redo.
Offline still counts
Basements still need photos. Queue them. Do not wait for the street to remember. The gate should accept queued proof the same as live proof once it lands.
Photo rules that fit in a sentence
Wide shot of the area. Close shot of the failure. After shot from the same angle as the before. Extra shot of parts left behind. That is four. Techs can do four.
If the job is paint, add the room corner. If it is a roof, add the drop zone. If it is a panel, add the label maker photo so the spouse sees the same panel.
Signatures on cold glass
Winter driveways make signing miserable. Still do it. A glove-off signature is cheaper than a dispute. Have a stylus in the door pocket if you want to be kind.
Change orders
If the job grows, authorize again. The first signature is not a blank check. Hub should show the extra. Team should collect the second yes. Skipping this is how “while you are here” becomes free.
Customers who refuse photos
Then you refuse to start, or you start knowing you have no proof. Most shops should refuse. The ones who cannot refuse should at least write “customer declined photos” on the ticket. A blank ticket is worse.
Storage and privacy
Photos live on the job. They are not for Instagram unless the customer said so. Train that. A before photo of a messy house on a personal story is how you lose the neighborhood.
Gates by job type
Not every mow needs a work authorization. Every opening in a wall does. Tune the gates. If every job is gated the same, techs will hate all gates and skip the ones that matter.

A 14-day proof drill
Monday: turn the gate on for one job type. Tuesday: complete one job with photos and a signature. Wednesday: show the office the ticket. Thursday: refuse to close a stop that skipped the gate. Friday: time it. Two minutes of photos is slower than zero and faster than a Saturday redo. Week two: change orders get a second yes. One customer who declined photos gets a written note.

The numbers on one job
A missed quote on the owner phone is not a small miss. It is a house that hired the shop that answered. Hub and Team exist so the yes, the clock, and the photo happen on the stop, not tonight on the couch.

- Open the stop in Team — Start job, do not skip into complete.
- Shoot before photos — The gate is the point. A complete without proof is a story.
- Open the form — Check the list the office attached. Extras have prices.
- Collect the signature — Work authorization is its own document, not a scribble on a glove.
- Then finish — After photos, clock, and payment belong after the yes, not instead of it.

Where Sqyre holds the work
Sqyre Hub is the owner app. Sqyre Team is the crew app. Jason repeats the shop sentence. Scheduling, payments, and the mobile app page are the web map of the same system.
