Two iPhone apps, one shop: how Sqyre Hub and Sqyre Team share the same job

Owners download Sqyre Hub. Crews download Sqyre Team. Same jobs, quotes, clock, and customer. Two apps on purpose, both on the App Store.

The simple idea

Shops ask for one app. What they mean is one system. Those are different. One system can have two iPhone apps that share a job. One app that tries to be the ledger and the next stop becomes a junk drawer techs ignore.

Sqyre Hub is the owner app: Home, Browse, Schedule, Timeline, Jason, calling, invoices. Sqyre Team is the crew app: Home, Projects, Routes, Chat, clock, photos, scans. Both are on the App Store today.

If you had to explain it to a neighbor, you would say this. The person who says yes to money uses Hub. The person who walks into the house uses Team.

A normal weekday

The owner approves a water heater on Hub at 8:10am. The tech’s Team Routes grows a stop. He clocks in from the widget, scans the mechanical room, shoots before photos, gets the authorization, installs, takes payment with the office on the line, clocks out.

Nobody copied the address into Maps by hand. Nobody asked “did they pay?” in a group text. Home on Hub shows the payment. Timeline shows the thread. That is one shop.

What each app is for

Hub: outstanding money, requests, quotes waiting, the day strip, client records, Jason, the shop phone. Download Sqyre Hub.

Team: next action, routes with Start job, projects and hours, crew chat, widgets, offline queue, room scans. Download Sqyre Team.

The web desk still exists for the long reports. Phones exist for the day that is happening.

Permissions are the fence

The office can allow a team member to reschedule, add a visit, and call or text a client from the company line. Those buttons show or hide right away when a permission changes. That is how a helper does not become an accidental owner.

Paused jobs come off the open list. Contacts live in Chat. The fence is visible. If the fence is invisible, techs invent workarounds.

Crazy features that only work because there are two apps

Default Calling App on Hub would be dangerous as a crew default. Room scans on Team would be clutter on an owner Home that already holds outstanding invoices. Jason as an orb on Hub would be noise on a route card.

Split the jobs. Share the record. That is the architecture. It is also why Apple sees two listings, two icons, two download buttons on the public landing.

What people get wrong

They install only Hub and forward screenshots to techs. Then they say creeps will not use software. They never received software. They received a picture of software.

They also install only Team on the owner phone and wonder where Jason went. Jason lives with the board.

If you are training someone this week

Hand the owner Hub. Hand the tech Team. Run one live job from quote to paid punch. Then delete the group chat that used to be the company.

The only sentence the shop is allowed to say is this one. Owners open Hub. Crews open Team. The job is the same job.

Where to read next

The long Hub tour is Sqyre Hub on the App Store. The long Team tour is Sqyre Team on the App Store. Jason, calling, widgets, photos, scans, pay, and offline each have their own guide in this series.

The product page is mobile app. The download badges on the landing go straight to Apple. Use them.

How to roll it out without a mutiny

Day one: owner Hub, every tech Team. Day two: one live job from quote to paid punch. Day three: kill the group chat that duplicated Routes. Day four: permissions fence for calling and reschedule. Day five: widgets and photo gates.

Do not migrate by screenshot. Screenshots are how people stay on iMessage.

Icons differ on purpose. Hub is the mark on black. Team is the mark on red. Thumbs learn colors faster than names. Put both badges on the landing and on the mobile app page so nobody downloads the wrong listing twice.

What shared means

Shared: clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, clock, photos, scans, timeline. Not shared: home screen, primary job, which pockets get Jason’s orb.

A tech who also owns the company can install both. A helper should not. Outstanding invoices on a helper’s phone is how they learn to panic instead of work.

The App Store is the door

Sqyre Hub and Sqyre Team are live. The landing section with the 3D phones is the public explanation. These Chronicles are the long explanation. SEO only works if the pages exist, the sitemap lists them, and the sentences are true.

Use the official Download on the App Store badge. Link the real IDs. Do not send crews to a placeholder worker URL. That era is over.

Naming on purpose

Sqyre Hub sounds like a desk. Sqyre Team sounds like a crew. Do not rename them in conversation to “the app.” Say Hub. Say Team. Thumbs follow names.

The App Store icons differ. Black mark, red mark. Put both on a printed card in the shop with QR codes to the two listings. New hires should not have to ask which one.

Licenses and seats

Each human is a seat. Shared logins make every Chronicle in this series a lie. Budget for phones and seats the same way you budget for blades.

Rollout order for a five person shop

Owner: Hub first, Jason sentences, calling. Two techs: Team, widget, Routes, photo gate on one job type. Office person: Hub on a phone plus laptop. Then permissions. Then kill the group chat.

Do not turn on every gate on day one. You will get a mutiny. Turn on one gate. Win. Turn on the next.

What success looks like in 30 days

No shop quotes in iMessage. No hours reconstructed on Friday. No “are you close” without a map. Night calls become morning tickets. Driveway payments happen more often than mailed checks. Scans happen on the jobs that need measuring.

If none of that moved, you installed icons, not a system.

What to send a skeptical tech

This series. The Team App Store link. One sentence: you get Routes, clock, and fewer night texts from me. Self-interest is allowed.

What to send a skeptical owner

The Hub App Store link. Home screenshot of outstanding. One sentence: the board travels. If they still want a laptop glued to a shop desk, they can have both. Hub does not steal the laptop. It steals the excuse that you were away from the board.

Indexing this for search

These guides live at /chronicles with canonical URLs, article schema, FAQs, and sitemap entries. The homepage links the App Store IDs. Google cannot index a group text. It can index this.

Why Apple sees two listings

Default Calling App on Hub would be dangerous as a crew default. Room scans on Team would be clutter on an owner Home that already holds outstanding invoices. Jason as an orb on Hub would be noise on a route card. Split the jobs. Share the record.

Icons differ on purpose. Hub is the mark on black. Team is the mark on red. Thumbs learn colors faster than names. Put both badges on the landing at /#apps and on /features/mobile-app. Print a card with two QR codes. New hires should not have to ask which one.

Say Hub. Say Team. Do not rename them in conversation to “the app.”

Rollout that does not start a mutiny

Day one: owner Hub, every tech Team. Day two: one live job from quote to paid punch. Day three: kill the group chat that duplicated Routes. Day four: permissions fence for calling and reschedule. Day five: widgets and one photo gate.

Do not turn on every gate on day one. You will get a mutiny. Turn on one gate. Win. Turn on the next.

Indexing, said as an owner would care

These guides live at /chronicles with canonical URLs, BlogPosting schema, FAQPage schema, and sitemap entries. The homepage links both App Store IDs and shows the official Download on the App Store badge. SoftwareApplication JSON-LD names Hub and Team. robots.txt allows /chronicles/. Google cannot index a group text. It can index this.

A 14-day two-app drill

Owner installs Hub. Every tech installs Team. Create one job in Hub. It appears on Routes. Tech starts, photos, clocks. Hub shows the stop move. Take payment. Outstanding on Home drops. Week two: Jason night ticket becomes a morning Route. One photo gate holds. One late text matches the pin. Group chat that used to be the board is gone.

The numbers on one job

A missed quote on the owner phone is not a small miss. It is a house that hired the shop that answered. Hub and Team exist so the yes, the clock, and the photo happen on the stop, not tonight on the couch.

Questions people ask

faq

  • Can I use Hub as a tech? — You can. You will hate it. Install Team.
  • Can a tech use Hub? — Only if they also run the desk. Most should not see outstanding invoices all day.
  • Are both free to download? — Yes. The shop plan covers the system.
  • Where do I start? — Hub for the owner. Team for anyone who punches a clock.

Before Friday

  1. Install the right app on the right phone.
  2. Run one real stop all the way to a photo or a payment.
  3. Delete the group text that used to be the board.
